Stokfela is operated by Mil-G (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in Eswatini, trading as Sicebi International Group Holdings ("Stokfela", "we", "us", "our"). We provide a digital ledger platform for savings groups (stokvels). Our registered address is Mbabane, Eswatini. You can contact us at info@sicebi.com.
We collect the following categories of information: identity and contact details — your name, email address, phone number and WhatsApp number, physical or postal address, and other contact information you provide; financial information — details of your stokvel activity (contributions, loans, repayments and balances), and, where applicable, payment information and credit information used to assess loan eligibility; content you provide — photos or videos (such as a profile picture) and other content you upload or enter into the platform; location — precise location information, only when you choose to share it (for example, to set your stokvel's location); account and usage data — your user ID, login times, device and IP information, and other usage data, which we use to operate and secure the platform; and support information you provide when you contact customer support. We do not collect this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We use your information to: operate and maintain your stokvel ledger; process contributions and loan transactions; send notifications about your account activity; verify your identity; comply with legal obligations; and improve our services. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
If you link your WhatsApp number, we may send you verification codes, transaction notifications, and account alerts via WhatsApp. You can unlink your WhatsApp number at any time from your Settings page. We use Meta's WhatsApp Business API to send messages.
We share your information with: your stokvel administrator (name, contribution status, loan position); service providers who help us operate the platform (Supabase for database, Vercel for hosting, Resend for email, Meta for WhatsApp); and regulatory authorities when required by law. We do not share your information with advertisers.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for 7 years thereafter to comply with financial record-keeping requirements. You may request deletion of your account; however, transaction records required for legal compliance will be retained for the legally required period.
We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted data storage, multi-factor authentication, and regular security reviews. However, no system is completely secure. Please use a strong password and do not share your login credentials or verification codes with anyone.
You have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements); object to processing; and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at info@sicebi.com.
We use essential cookies to maintain your login session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this may affect your ability to use the platform.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the platform. Continued use of Stokfela after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
